Van Moer Achieves EcoVadis Silver: Top 15% Worldwide

In 2026, Van Moer achieved an EcoVadis score of 79 out of 100 — up 5 points from 2024 — placing us in the top 15% of all assessed companies worldwide. A Silver certificate that is not just a label, but independent external confirmation of the sustainable course Van Moer has been consistently following for years.

This result is the logical outcome of an approach embedded throughout the entire organisation: from the selection of raw materials to the way we produce, transport and handle the end-of-life of our products.

EcoVadis is the leading international platform for sustainability assessments of businesses. Each year, thousands of organisations worldwide are evaluated across four themes:

Environment, Labour & Human Rights, Ethics, and Sustainable Procurement.

Companies receive a score out of 100 and a corresponding rating. An EcoVadis Silver rating — awarded from the 85th percentile upwards — means Van Moer outperforms 85% of all assessed companies. For purchasing managers and procurement teams, an EcoVadis score is one of the most widely recognised and internationally comparable sustainability benchmarks available.

The EcoVadis score sits alongside our ISO 9001 certificate (quality management) and ISO 14001 certificate (environmental management) as the measurable foundation of our sustainability policy.

What is Van Moer’s EcoVadis score?

Score: 79/100

Previous score (2024): 74/100 (+5 points)

Rating: Silver

Position: 94th percentile — top 15% of all assessed companies worldwide

How does EcoVadis certification fit into our broader ESG approach?

The EcoVadis Silver certificate does not stand alone. It forms part of the broader ESG framework (Environmental, Social & Governance) Van Moer has built in line with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

In our annual ESG report — published by Van Moer since 2024 — we report transparently on what is genuinely relevant: from CO₂ emissions and working conditions to internal governance and policy. Not because it is required, but because we believe measurability is the foundation of real change.

Where the ESG report maps the breadth of our policy, EcoVadis provides a standardised, internationally comparable score that buyers, clients and partners can interpret quickly.

From EcoVadis to daily sustainable practice

A score on paper is only valuable if it is carried through into daily operations. That is precisely what our CSR policy (Corporate Social Responsibility) is about.

Our approach rests on five concrete pillars covering the full lifecycle of workwear:

  1. Design — every garment is designed to be modular, reproducible, industrially washable and documented down to the last detail.
  2. Raw materials — we select from European suppliers who comply with Oeko-Tex, Oeko-Tex Step and REACH standards. Our suppliers sign the Van Moer Code of Conduct.
  3. Production — our established production partners in Eastern Europe and North Africa are BSCI-audited. We produce order-driven: only what is needed, with minimal waste streams.
  4. Transport — 95% of our production volumes are sourced close to home. Combined transport, smart groupage and minimal packaging keep our CO₂ footprint in check.
  5. Circular clothing — when garments reach the end of their first life, we find the most valuable second destination: reuse, fibre recycling or application in new products — in partnership with Frankenhuis, I-Did, Planq and Utexbel.

Van Moer is a member of Amfori/BSCI, the international programme for improved working conditions in the supply chain. Our production partners are continuously monitored through independent and internal audits.

What does this mean for you as a client or partner?

Increasingly, organisations in both the private and public sector expect their suppliers to demonstrate sustainable and responsible business practices. EcoVadis certification is one of the most widely recognised international benchmarks for this.

Working with Van Moer means working with a partner who has its sustainability performance externally validated, reports transparently through an annual ESG report, and actively invests in making the entire clothing chain more sustainable.

For buyers who themselves need to comply with CSRD reporting or internal sustainability targets, Van Moer’s EcoVadis score provides a directly usable data point in their own reporting.

Can I download Van Moer’s EcoVadis report?

Yes. The public scorecard is available for direct download here. The full report is also available at recognition.ecovadis.com, or on request via info@vanmoer.be.
