At our Belgian headquarters located in Hulshout, we focus on developing new items and managing sales and distribution to our customers. Our branch in the Netherlands (Haarlem) primarily specializes in developing products specifically for the healthcare and care sectors.

Job description

As a Customer Service Employee/Sales Assistant, you’ll be part of our 4-person Customer Service department, responsible for managing relationships with your clients, both over the phone and in writing. This involves perfect administrative follow-up of files, recognizing customer needs and wishes, and proactively informing them about any changes or delays.

Your responsibilities

  • Reception (handling incoming calls and visitors)
  • You manage your own clients and ensure their inquiries are handled correctly.
  • You are responsible for the administrative management of client files, including quotes, complaint handling, orders, and general sales administration.
  • You communicate with our clients in Dutch and French, both in writing and over the phone.

  • You report to the Customer Service Team Leader

Who you are

  • You have pursued an administrative or commercial education
  • You possess excellent Dutch skills and good French proficiency
  • You showcase commercial administrative talent with resilience to stress and a solution-oriented mindset
  • You value customer friendliness highly, are very communicative, and have a high energy level
  • Proficiency in MS Word & Excel is a must

Your responsibilities

  • Building a commercial network by visiting potential customers in the healthcare sector (hospitals, care institutions, home care) and related or other sectors throughout Belgium.
  • Generating a completely new customer portfolio. That’s your challenge. You’re out and about in Belgium.
  • You understand: you start from scratch and don’t rely on an existing customer base. Taking into account the market structure, you approach potential customers and convince them to collaborate with Van Moer.
  • You do this not as a monotonous catalog salesman, but as a personal advisor who informs the customer about a tailored package through intake interviews and a needs analysis.
  • On-site, you initiate projects and discuss all necessary details to meet the customer’s wishes as best as possible. From the type of fabric to the logo. You brainstorm with the customer, make relevant (design) proposals, and prepare a correct, accompanying quotation.

Who are you

Due to previous work experiences, you have at least 3 years of experience in a similar sector. As a result, you have an affinity for workwear in the healthcare sector and you are the expert to guide the customer towards a sustainable and contemporary outfit. You make the healthcare provider proud to give their best every day in Van Moer’s comfortable clothing. Additionally, you have a bachelor’s degree and/or initial relevant experience as a business developer or sales hunter.

  • To detect the right needs, you have excellent listening skills.
  • To communicate appropriately to various internal and external parties, you have a flexible and correct communication style.
  • To target customers effectively, you bring out your hunter skills combined with strong adaptability and empathy.
  • You have a driver’s license.
  • You are more than proficient in the Dutch language. You speak and write it flawlessly.
  • You are a local player and ideally take no longer than an hour to reach the Hulshout office.
